Evan Siary has seven straight starts with two or fewer runs. I suppose a question is whether he might join Hub City for the final two weeks or hang around so he can pitch in Hickory’s postseason (assuming the Dads reach it). There’s also nothing preventing the Rangers from moving him up and bringing him back, but that isn’t how they typically operate.
LF Kaden Carpenter turned his ankle out of the box on a grounder and had to be replaced.
Texas assigned 2025 12th-round righty Jake Barbee to Hickory. He had a 9.42 ERA in 14.1 innings at the complex but the peripherals aren’t so bad.
