A six-game sweep at home. The Express scored 14 runs, and the only hitter I listed the entire week was rehabbing Kyle Higashioka. That elimination number undersells the situation; OKC and Sugar Land face off next week, so Round Rock can at best gain ground on only one on any given day. The Express visit non-contending Salt Lake this week. Round Rock hasn’t won the series season against OKC since 2019.
The good news is David Davalillo had a good day, not electrifying but never less than pleasant in terms of statcast data.

Jersey Shore actually led 2-1 after a couple of 6th-inning runs when rain halted the proceedings. Because Hub City didn’t bat in the 6th, the game officially terminated at the conclusion of the last full inning, so the Burgers stole a 1-0 victory. Paxton Kling swiped 22 bases in 31 games after exiting the IL.
No league had a greater year-to-year increase in offense than the Sally. Runs per game increased 29%, homers by 67%(!), and OPS by 99 points. Somebody who hit .250/.325/.400 in the Sally in 2025 would have a snazzy 118 OPS+. That same line in 2025 is only a 90 OPS+.
